Training

Successful and effective training can assist your staff to overcome the misconceptions and preconceptions that lead to the often unintentional attitudinal discrimination, that which may deter potential customers.

The Family Resources Survey found that there are almost ten
million disabled people in the UK with a combined spending power
in the region of eighty billion pounds per annum. Furthermore
there are millions of other individuals that are affected by sensory,
physical and/or cognitive impairments, including those resulting
from the ageing process.

If disabled people face barriers in accessing your services they
may go elsewhere and you could miss out on some of their
spending power!!!!

Disabled people feel that attitudinal barriers are the most
prevalent barrier they face, and can deter them using a service
provider even if the physical access meets their needs. It needs
more than a ramp to provide an accessible service, are your staff
fully aware of the needs of your current and potential clients.

Ensure your staff and customers receive an
equitable welcome
